Our modern motel units with kitchens are perfect for the budget conscience family. Motel units have 1 or 2 queen beds sleeping 2-4. Free WiFi in the office with free cable tv and free local phone calls. All motel units have private baths, all linens and furnished kitchens. In the past, Frommer's Travel Guide has noted our units as not fancy, but quiet, clean and well maintained.
Our vacation cabins are newly constructed as of 2004. Enjoy 3 bedrooms, 2 baths sleeping up to 8 family members comfortably. Free WiFi, cable tv and well equipped with full kitchen and all linens. Units are housekeeping cabins. Decks are furnished with BBQ grills and offer privacy and are well maintained. Big game hunters for Units 55, 54, 551, 66 and 67 enjoy making the cabins their elk and deer hunting home base.
Wildwood Resort motel and cabins has long been a family vacation retreat for Colorado families to visit the Gunnison Country. We are located within minutes of every outdoor activity the Colorado Rocky Mountains are famous for. We are happy to recommend fishing on the Gunnison River, Lake Fork, Taylor River and Taylor Reservoir as well as the East River. Hike the Gunnison National Forest, Crested Butte, and check out the Colorado Wildflowers in July at the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival. It's an easy 30 minute scenic drive to Crested Butte Mountain Resort for alpine or nordic skiing. Monarch Ski Area is a short drive to Monarch Pass. Summer or winter, there's plenty to do.
